Since 2018, people in our diocese have raised funds through a coffee hour appeal every September, inviting individuals to give $5 to make a difference in the lives of many of our brothers and sisters living in Burundi.
Please join us for coffee after church and consider donating $5 each week in September to raise funds for medical cards for our friends in Burundi.
Last year, parishes in the Diocese of Edmonton raised $7,257 for the Diocese of Buyé to purchase medical cards. Each card costs $5 and allows the bearer to save 80 per cent of the cost of medical care for a full year. Sadly, this coverage is out of reach for most people living in the Diocese of Buyé.
All money raised goes directly to this worthy cause.
