Who We Are
We are people, just like you! We are young and old, from all types of backgrounds. We come from Wetaskiwin and neighbouring communities. We come for a variety of reasons.
We come to Immanuel because it looks like a great place to be. We feel at home because we are a loving and diverse community.
What We Believe
WE BELIEVE in God, creator of the universe. We experience our humanity as loved people of God through the life, the teaching, and the healing love of Jesus Christ.
We come together in community to find, explore, and deepen our spirituality through the liturgy of our church services; through our care and love for each other; through our actions to care for those around us beyond our church.
We believe in the Trinity:
- We know God as the Creator of all
- We know God the Holy Spirit, the presence of God within each of us
- We know God the Son who came to earth to save us through His life, His death, and His resurrection
