May 5 at 4:00 PM – National Day of Awareness and Action for MMIWG2S

On May 5th, we invite you to join us in honouring Red Dress Day.  We will gather at the Peace Cairn (5527 - 49 Ave near the water tower) at 4:00 PM.

This solemn day is a time to remember and mourn the lives of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit people (MMIWG2S+). Each red dress represents a life taken too soon, a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend. Their absence is deeply felt, and their spirits are never forgotten.

We will gather in ceremony, reflection, and unity to honour the stolen sisters, to hold space for their families and communities, and to continue calling for justice and systemic change.

You are invited to wear red and stand with us in honour, awareness, and action.
