Immanuel Anglican Church along with the Wetaskiwin and District Heritage Museum and the City of Wetaskiwin hosted the 10th annual Orange Shirt Day Walk as part of The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation activities. Participants met at the museum to hear Elder Ivy speak and to participate in a prayer and smudge and then walked to the Peace Cairn led by a Drummer's Group. Carol Blair, Rector's Warden for Immanuel, led the ceremony with a prayer and a number of women joined together to sing The Grandmother's Song. After that participants walked to Diamond Jubilee Park where there were many different activities as well as soup and bannock for all to enjoy. Thank you to all who participated.
