Immanuel recognized Rev. Hugh and Fiona’s ministry with gratitude and celebration of their tireless dedication and services which ended on 28 February 2025 with a retirement dinner at the church hall. The evening included parishioners’ tributes, photo memories, reconciliation team recognition and parish recognition. We ended our celebration with the Christian version of Auld Lang Syne and blessings. We had an excellent selection of food catered by Mitchell’s Cafe, lots of laughter, warmth, talks, hugs and tears were also present. Carol Blair did an exceptional job as a host articulating Rev. Hugh’s many virtues and accomplishments while adding a great sense of humour and enjoyment. We also appreciate the great organization and tremendous work done by Joyce. Hugh and Fiona, stay blessed, joyful and healthy, surely our paths will cross again soon.
